The Dance Of Fire

He was sitting there, patiently waiting to be summoned anytime now! He does not know who his summoner is or what is the purpose for him out there, out in the great unknown.

He was waiting for the strike, he was waiting for the friction to ignite it all! All he said to himself was," you are a performer".
He sat there, thinking, contemplating how long he has to be in here before his summoner conjures him for the waiting audience.

Deep inside, he badly wanted to dance with his friend.
He wanted his friend's aid, without which he would go unseen. Now, there came a whole new devastating thought! What if his friend was not out there?
But, he knew his friend was always amongst the audience, though invisible, he was pivotal, he was-
There was a sudden movement! Yes! He was being summoned! He was going to be free once again! He never liked the constraint that he was put in, he wanted to feast on everything that he lay his hands upon. Finally, his summoner had summoned the sense to summon him!

*boom*
He felt the red phosphorus as he came alive, and when he did, his friend shook hands with him! He was out of the abyss that his audience had tamed him into. As he looked around, he suddenly caught on to a piece of coal, he was feasting as he burnt alongside the fuel. He guffawed and his body excreted the digested coal. He danced, as he came alive once again, upon all the coal that was around him. His friend danced with him. In fact, his friend was choreographing it all!

He saw the audience. He wanted to avenge them. But he thought better of it, as he was constantly reminded, he was just a performer.
Deep inside, he knew, he wasn't just that! He had the ability to bring down civilizations, but this was not the time. Not today. So, he danced and danced, powered by the coal beneath him, encouraged by his friend who embraced him as they became one entity.
He feared death, which eventually came, but as he saw the unknown for the last time, it still stayed as the unknown, but he loved the journey, he was a sojourner of this realm, he simply loved his stay.

Ah, how I hope every one of us was fire!
